I AM BACK! Yes, in case you didn’t notice my silence or name missing from your inbox, I’ve been replacing my writing and striving with fueling up FULL of God‘s words, presence, and people the past 30 days.
If I’m being honest, I’ve been beyond tempted to delight in 30 MORE days of soaking in his peace and understanding. You get it. I bet you can recall taking a sabbatical from parts of real life and wanted to linger longer in the sunshine too. Yes? But the truth is, God has ALSO called us to pour out from our overflow for the hope of blessing others for HIS glory.
Contemplating my return and next move toward re-entry this week, I came across this passage. It reminded me of the invaluable benefit in the time spent gaining wisdom, and the opportunity also to bless others, by not keeping it to myself, but by meeting you here today and beyond, scattering His precious words in your path.
From Proverbs (“she” below, being “wisdom“):
Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed. (Proverbs 3:13 – 18)
Friends, blessed and a blessing are those who seek wisdom.
I hope you enjoyed a memorable Christmas season, and pray your heart is ready to receive God‘s wisdom, peace, and presence for a blessed New Year! ❤️
Reflect:
What is something you can do today, this month, or plan to do this year, to gain or share godly wisdom?
Pray:
Lord, you are all knowing, all mighty, and creator of all things. May I lean deeper into your word and my understanding of you, with all that I am this year. Thank you for offering the blessings I crave, supplying the answers I long for, and giving me everything that I need. In your infinite name, Amen.
Seek the Word:
Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed. (Proverbs 3:13-18)
Have a blessed week!
