I bet you want love. Probably a touch of joy? And if you are anything like me, you’re mostly longing for swelling peace of heart this Christmas season.

The past couple of months (possibly years) have entangled many of our souls in knots, smothering the path of relief to our deepest internal desires.

And I bet you want the flow of favor to open back up. To feel full again… Yes? Boy, I sure do. 

Sooo… I have prayerfully decided there are three things I’m going to initiate – starting today. (By the way, I’m sharing in case you’re craving a fill up too. 😉)

LOVE OTHERS. I’m going to pray for opportunities to serve, give, and help others, because God has so graciously done this in abundance for me. Join me?

THANK GOD. I plan to start each day thanking the Lord whom made all things possible. And especially for sending his son, his prized possession, to offer us (me and you!) hope, a future, and eternal life. How can we not praise Him? Amen?!

REST IN HIM. I have decided to place a hard halt on the hamster wheel of striving to meet the world’s expectations. And instead, to pause a little longer in his sovereign provision and almighty presence, refocusing my gaze on HIM, our true source of peace and strength.

Speaking of… What do you need to take a break from to let God work in you or for you? Personally, I’m taking a break from producing my weekly devotion until January. I’ll return with the release of a new project I’m finishing up that I pray God will use for your encouragement (a free book titled, “30-days of Faith-Fueled Devotions”), but mostly I am freeing up time to fill up on and REST in HIM. 

I pray you’ll join me in unleashing Love, Thankfulness, and Rest… in HIM. And through the Holy Spirit, you will be uplifted with the joy of Jesus, filled with the Prince of Peace, absorb and reflect our Savior’s love, and soak in the blessings God places all around you this special season.
