Why the heavy heart this morning? I ask myself. The horizon looks pretty bright and God‘s presence has felt close.  But even still, a gray cloud subtly shields His joyful light.  Satan, the deceiver, knows he must work fresh angles to hold me down. I nag myself daily, sometimes hourly, with this reminder... that I am NOT the god of all my “goings-on” and I’m wasting loads of energy trying to assume this monstrous role. Here I am again waffling with emotions... Willing away and suppressing desires of my flesh for more comfort, ease, and security.
