Do you know what real peace feels like? Have you ever been fully immersed in its swallow?
Maybe you do… maybe you have… or maybe it’s something you desperately long for (me!), but yet it feels so out of reach in a life tainted with sin, surrendered to busyness, influenced by flawed people, and pressed on by expectations and agendas.
It’s true, the world is messy. Our lives are too. And, the hope of peace gets crushed by the weight of its imperfections.
Friends, God is peace. The one, the only, ALL sufficient peace. And, let me boldly remind you, God is still here. He remains unchanged, and the depth of His serenity is at our fingertips – always has been, always will be.
His peace will embrace you… when you embrace Him.
Reflect: Do you want God‘s all sufficient peace? Will you open your heart and pray this prayer with me…
Pray: Like the wind gracefully touching and tossing the new spring leaves, Lord I want to sway and dance in step with your peaceful steady presence today… Lead me each moment in sweet dependence on your whispers and nudges. Open my eyes to the beauty and blessings painted and placed at every corner I turn… Slow my pace, fill me with grace, and when the wind blows harder and my feet falter, may I rest in the comfort of your loving embrace. Seek The Word: I, the LORD do not change. (Malachi 3:6) Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. (2 Thessalonians 3:16)
Have a blessed week!
